HT Logistics Hiring! Full Time Management Trainee (Logistics) in Sarawak, Earn up to MYR 2,800 - Ricebowl

We are looking for a Management Trainee to join our team, undergoing a structured rotation across our core business functions — freight forwarding, customs brokerage, haulage/transport, and warehousing — to build a well-rounded foundation in logistics operations and management. This program is designed to groom high-potential individuals for future leadership roles within the company, offering direct exposure to real operations, mentorship from senior management, and accelerated career progression for those who perform well.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Rotational Exposure

• Rotate through key departments (freight forwarding, customs clearance, haulage/transport planning, warehousing, and project cargo operations) over the course of the program.
• Work alongside department heads and senior staff to understand end-to-end operational workflows.
• Take on assigned projects within each rotation to apply learning and contribute measurable value.

2) Operations Support

• Assist in day-to-day coordination of shipments, deliveries, and customs documentation across assigned departments.
• Support process improvement initiatives, identifying inefficiencies and proposing practical solutions.
• Compile and analyze operational data (e.g. shipment turnaround, cost tracking, service KPIs) to support management reporting.

3) Stakeholder Engagement

• Build working relationships with clients, hauliers, shipping agencies, and relevant authorities under supervision.
• Support senior staff in client communications and issue resolution.
• Participate in internal meetings and contribute ideas from a fresh, cross-functional perspective.

4) Learning & Development

• Complete structured training modules and assessments as set by management throughout the program.
• Prepare periodic progress reports and presentations to management on rotation learnings and project outcomes.
• Upon successful completion, transition into a permanent role aligned with demonstrated strengths and business needs.

Requirements:

• Fresh graduate or up to 2 years' working experience, preferably in supply chain, logistics, business, or related fields.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with willingness to learn across multiple functions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to work with stakeholders at all levels.
• A proactive, growth-oriented mindset with high adaptability to changing priorities.
• Strong sense of responsibility, accountability, and initiative.
• Possess own transport.
