Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Nursing from a recognised institution.
- Registered Nurse with valid LJM/APC.
- Willing to work shifts and comply with centre SOPs and MOH/LJM/CKAPS requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform pre-dialysis assessments and post-dialysis evaluations of patients.
- Prepare, initiate, and monitor dialysis treatments according to prescribed schedules and protocols.
- Identify complications or emergencies during dialysis and respond appropriately.
- Operate and monitor dialysis machines; troubleshoot basic technical issues.
- Ensure machines are disinfected and maintained according to infection control standards.
- Maintain aseptic techniques and enforce strict infection prevention practices.
- Accurately document nursing notes, vital signs, dialysis parameters, and patient conditions.
- Monitor patients throughout treatment and escalate any abnormalities to the attending nephrologist or centre manager.
- Educate patients and caregivers about renal care, medication, and lifestyle practices.
- Ensure compliance with LJM, CKAPS, and MOH standards in all clinical practices.
- Follow all centre SOPs, safety protocols, and emergency procedures.
- Administer medications and manage vascular access sites appropriately.
- Support training and supervision of junior nurses and nursing aides.
- Participate in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities and maintain valid LJM license.
- Assist in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and patient care evaluations.
