A cook is responsible will supporting daily kitchen operations, food preparation, cooking, catering production, and menu development while ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, menu requirements, and company standards.
• Assist with daily kitchen and central kitchen production operations.
• Support event catering, industrial catering, and food & beverage operations.
• Assist in developing and updating menus together with the relevant division managers.
• Prepare ingredients and ensure proper portion control to maintain food quality and manage costs.
• Monitor food usage, minimize wastage, and support cost-control efforts.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards throughout the kitchen.
• Conduct regular checks to ensure kitchen operations comply with food safety and hygiene requirements.
• Keep up with new cooking techniques, ingredients, and food trends.
• Contribute ideas for new dishes, special menus, and improvements to existing menus.
• Work closely with the catering and operations team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Maintain a professional and customer-focused attitude when handling catering requirements.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years or above experience in cooking, catering, restaurant, or F&B operations.
• Experience creating and developing menus from scratch.
• Strong knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and food preparation practices.
• Food Handling certification is preferred.
• Culinary qualification or certification from a recognized culinary institution is an advantage.
• Good planning, organizational, and time management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to remain calm and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer-focused, reliable, self-motivated, and results-oriented.

Pay: From RM2,500.00 per month
