Your new role

This is a unique opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys building rather than maintaining. Joining as an individual contributor, you will take ownership of establishing the HR function and creating the people infrastructure required to support a growing organisation. As the business expands over the coming years, this role is expected to evolve into a leadership position, with the opportunity to build and lead the HR team.

Key projects include:

• Establishing HR policies, SOPs, employee handbooks, and HR frameworks to support a scalable and compliant people function.
• Leading full-cycle recruitment initiatives across both academic and non-academic hiring, ensuring the organisation attracts high-quality talent.
• Developing talent management and succession planning frameworks to support future workforce growth.
• Partnering closely with business leaders to build a strong organisational culture and employee value proposition from the ground up.
• Driving workforce planning initiatives in line with the organisation's expansion plans.
• Acting as a trusted HR advisor to employees and stakeholders across multiple locations.
• Supporting operational HR activities while laying the foundation for a future HR team structure.
• Building strong relationships with stakeholders through regular engagement across sites within the Klang Valley.

What you'll need to succeed

• Preferably from the education industry or have multi-site management experience.
• At least 8 years of progressive HR experience, with exposure across both operational and strategic HR functions.
• Strong talent acquisition experience, with the ability to identify and attract both professional and specialist talent.
• Experience in organisation building, start-up environments, greenfield operations, or HR transformation projects will be highly advantageous.
• Exposure to talent management, succession planning, and workforce planning initiatives.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence and partner with leaders at various levels.
• Hands-on and adaptable approach, with the ability to work independently and thrive in a growing environment.
• Must be willing to travel regularly across sites within the Klang Valley weekly.
