Data Center Construction Hiring! Full Time Technical Services Engineer in Negeri Sembilan, Earn up to MYR 5,500 - Ricebowl

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Coordination

• Coordinate technical matters related to M&E and building services works throughout the construction phase.
• Review and coordinate engineering drawings, shop drawings, specifications, method statements, and material submissions.
• Identify technical issues, discrepancies, and clashes between different building services and construction disciplines.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues promptly.
• Provide technical clarification and support to site teams during installation.

2. M&E Systems Coordination

• Coordinate the installation of critical data center M&E systems, including:
• Electrical power distribution systems
• UPS and battery systems
• Generators
• MV/LV systems and switchgear
• HVAC and cooling systems
• Chilled water systems
• Fire protection systems
• Building Management System (BMS)
• ELV and other specialist systems
• Ensure M&E installations are properly coordinated with architectural and structural works.
• Monitor installation activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings and project specifications.

3. Testing & Commissioning

• Coordinate and support testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and integrated systems testing (IST) activities.
• Review testing and commissioning procedures and ensure activities are carried out according to project requirements.
• Coordinate with specialist vendors and subcontractors during testing and commissioning.
• Assist in identifying and resolving system defects and commissioning issues.

4. Site Technical Support

• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor technical works and installation progress.
• Provide technical solutions for site-related issues and construction challenges.
• Review RFIs, technical submissions, inspection requests, and relevant project documentation.
• Ensure approved materials and equipment are installed according to design requirements.
• Monitor technical works to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.

5. Project Documentation

• Maintain and update technical records, drawings, inspection reports, testing records, and commissioning documentation.
• Assist in reviewing as-built drawings and operation & maintenance (O&M) documentation.
• Track technical issues, outstanding works, defects, and rectification activities.

6. Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure technical works comply with approved design, project specifications, quality standards, and relevant statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams to ensure proper inspection and documentation of M&E works.
• Support site safety requirements and ensure contractors follow approved work procedures and safety regulations.

7. Project Coordination

• Attend technical coordination meetings, site meetings, and progress meetings when required.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Monitor technical progress and highlight potential delays, risks, and technical constraints.
• Support the project team in achieving project milestones and completion targets.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, M&E Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in M&E / technical services / building services / data center / industrial construction.
• Experience in data center construction or other mission-critical facilities will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of M&E systems, construction practices, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings, shop drawings, specifications, method statements, and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of relevant Malaysian standards, codes, and authority requirements.
• Good coordination, communication, problem-solving, and technical reporting skills.
• Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
• Willing to work on-site and support project requirements, including extended working hours when necessary.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
