Job Purpose

Take accountability for project execution, technical rigor, and mentoring of junior team members.

Responsibilities

1. Execute assigned tasks under guidance to drive innovation, product development, process improvements, and cost-efficiency within projects.

2. Translate customer design inputs into assigned technical work, experiments, and documentation.

3. Coordinate with cross-functional departments to ensure alignment with project objectives.

4. Apply RND best practices and experimental methodologies in assigned activities.

5. Perform laboratory testing and basic technical work related to manufacturing processes, materials, and product-related issues under guidance, and escalate technical issues while contributing to risk identification and mitigation within the project scope.

6. Develop technical skills and domain knowledge under supervision, and contribute to mentoring entry-level team members where applicable.

7. Contribute to team-level continuous improvement initiatives and incremental innovation efforts.

8. Execute experiments and trials with external partners, and provide accurate technical data and insights.

9. Perform additional duties as required to support functional and project objectives.

Qualification and Experience

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field; Master’s Degree in a related field is preferred.

2. Minimum 2 years of experience in RND or in similar technical roles.

3. Knowledge of New Product Development (NPD) processes and project execution.

4. Understanding of project management principles and defect analysis methods.

5. Familiarity with continuous improvement tools such as process mapping, 5S, and Kaizen.

6. Working knowledge of manufacturing technologies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
