Job description

A Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Technician installs, maintains, and repairs integrated machinery and facility systems. Key duties include performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting electrical/mechanical malfunctions, repairing hydraulic/pneumatic components, fixing motors and electrical wiring, and ensuring industrial equipment meets safety and production standards.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Maintenance & Inspection: Regularly check machines (conveyors, pumps, compressors) for malfunctions, wear and tear, and safety hazards.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose malfunctions in both mechanical components and electrical circuits/PLC systems.
• Repair & Installation: Perform electrical wiring, repair motors, replace bearings, and install new machinery.
• Documentation: Maintain maintenance logs, service records, and report spare parts usage.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, including LOCKOUT/TAGOUT, while performing repairs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of electrical circuits, hydraulics, pneumatics, and motor controls.
• Skills: Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and multimeters.
• Blueprints: Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and P&ID diagrams.
• Education: Technical certificate, Diploma, or relevant on-the-job experience in mechanical or electrical fields.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,300.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
