Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Assistant Account Manager to support the Account Manager in managing the company’s accounting and financial operations. The successful candidate will assist with daily accounting activities, financial reporting, month-end closing, budgeting, and ensuring accurate and timely financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Account Manager in overseeing daily accounting and finance operations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records, ledgers, journals, and financial documentation.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Monitor customer payments, outstanding balances, and supplier invoices.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and relevant schedules.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and cash-flow reports.
- Monitor company expenses and ensure proper supporting documents are maintained.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary, banks, and other external parties when required.
- Assist in audit and tax preparation and provide the necessary supporting documents.
- Ensure accounting transactions comply with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
- Assist in improving accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting procedures.
- Support the Account Manager in financial analysis and other accounting-related projects.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification or partial qualification is an added advantage.
- Relevant working experience in accounting or finance.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to speak Mandarin.
- Salary will be based on qualifications, relevant experience, and suitability for the position.
Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
