Machine Operator – Embroidery Department
Qualifications
- Minimum SPM or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of experience operating computerized embroidery machines is an advantage.
- Fresh graduates or candidates with no experience may be considered if willing to learn.
Skills & Knowledge
- Able to operate industrial embroidery machines, including single-head and multi-head machines.
- Able to perform basic machine settings according to the design and fabric type.
- Knowledge of hooping, thread and needle changing.
- Able to identify and perform basic troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of embroidery machine maintenance, including:
- Daily machine cleaning.
- Oiling/lubrication according to schedule.
- Checking needles, threads and machine components.
- Reporting machine faults or breakdowns to the supervisor/technician promptly.
- Able to read job sheets and verify the design, thread colours and quantity before production.
Personal Attributes
- Responsible, disciplined and punctual.
- Detail-oriented with good attention to embroidery quality.
- Able to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
- Willing to work overtime (OT) when required.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Maintains cleanliness and safety of the work area and machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate embroidery machines according to the production schedule.
- Ensure embroidery output meets the company's quality standards.
- Perform pre-operation checks before starting the machine.
- Carry out daily and scheduled basic maintenance.
- Minimise wastage of thread, fabric and production time.
- Record machine usage and report any machine issues or breakdowns.
- Ensure machines are maintained in good working condition and ready for production.
- Assist the supervisor in achieving daily production targets.
Preferred / Additional Skills
- Experience using embroidery software such as Wilcom or Tajima.
- Experience operating multi-head embroidery machines.
- Ability to train new operators on basic machine operation and maintenance.
Salary
RM1,700 – RM2,000 per month
Salary will be based on experience, technical skills and machine-handling competency.
Working Hours
Monday – Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Saturday: 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM
Overtime: May be required based on production requirements and will be paid according to applicable statutory rates.
Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
