Job Summary
We are seeking a Test Equipment Engineer to support the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of test equipment used in semiconductor manufacturing operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, qualification, optimization, and engineering improvement activities to ensure test equipment availability, stability, and capability in meeting production and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of semiconductor test equipment to ensure high equipment availability and reliability.
- Troubleshoot equipment, hardware, software, and process-related issues to minimize equipment downtime and production interruptions.
- Monitor equipment performance and implement appropriate actions to improve equipment stability, productivity, and overall efficiency.
- Support the installation, setup, qualification, calibration, and commissioning of new and existing test equipment.
- Conduct equipment evaluation and engineering analysis to identify opportunities for performance improvement and cost reduction.
- Develop and implement equipment optimization and continuous improvement programs to enhance equipment utilization, cycle time, yield, and productivity.
- Analyze equipment-related data and trends to identify recurring issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Work closely with Production, Process Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and other relevant departments to resolve equipment and production issues.
- Support new product introduction (NPI), engineering runs, process changes, and equipment qualification activities.
- Prepare and maintain equipment-related SOPs, work instructions, maintenance records, reports, and technical documentation.
- Ensure test equipment complies with applicable safety, quality, operational, and engineering standards.
- Coordinate with equipment suppliers and external contractors for equipment servicing, troubleshooting, spare parts, upgrades, and technical support.
- Participate in improvement projects involving automation, equipment upgrades, productivity enhancement, and manufacturing efficiency.
- Support investigations related to equipment failures, quality issues, and production abnormalities.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
