A growing food manufacturing company in Senai, Johor is looking for a Maintenance Executive to strengthen our equipment reliability and maintenance function.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on with machinery while also taking ownership of planning, reporting, and leading a small technician team.

Responsibilities

 What you'll do

• Plan and oversee preventive & corrective maintenance for production machinery, refrigeration systems, and utility equipment
• Supervise and guide the maintenance/technician team, ensuring tasks are executed and progress is reported on time
• Lead equipment commissioning, setup, and parameter configuration for new or upgraded machinery
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and PLC/automation-related issues
• Enforce post-maintenance inspection protocols (leak tests, pressure checks, etc.)
• Manage maintenance costs, spare parts, and vendor coordination
• Support food safety and equipment-related compliance (e.g. HACCP)

Qualifications

 What we're looking for

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or related field
• 3–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing/food production environment; supervisory experience is a plus
• Working knowledge of PLC/automation systems, refrigeration systems, and factory machinery
• Strong ownership and accountability — someone who follows through without needing close supervision
• Clear communicator, comfortable escalating issues proactively
