Job Summary
Responsible for planning production schedules, controlling material flow, and ensuring export goods are inspected, properly documented (including COO), and shipped on time.
Key Responsibilities
Production planning & control
- Prepare and update production schedules based on customer orders and factory capacity.
- Monitor production progress and coordinate with Production, Purchasing, and Warehouse departments.
- Identify potential delays and recommend corrective actions
- Develop and maintain material requirements plans (MRP) aligned with production schedules.
Material control
- Run MRP and monitor stock levels of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
- Raise purchase requisitions and track supplier deliveries.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts and stock takes
Goods inspection for export
- Coordinate pre-shipment inspection of finished goods, including checks on quantity, labelling, packing, and specifications.
- Liaise with QC and customers or third-party inspectors during inspections.
- Ensure rejected goods are segregated and corrective actions are taken.
Export documentation & COO
- Prepare and apply for Certificates of Origin (COO) through the relevant platforms (e.g. MITI ePCO or Chamber of Commerce, as required), including preferential COOs such as Form D and Form E.
- Prepare export documents: commercial invoice, packing list, and supporting documents.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs agents to ensure smooth, compliant shipments.
- Ensure document details match orders, quantities, and HS codes.
Reporting
- Prepare reports on on-time delivery performance, stock levels, and order status.
- Support internal and external audits.
Requirements
Education
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in PMC, with hands-on experience handling COO and goods inspection for export strongly preferred.
- Experience in the electronics, automotive, or battery/energy sector is an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Understanding of export processes, Incoterms, and HS codes.
- Proficient in MS Excel; ERP/MRP experience (SAP, SQL Account, etc.) is an advantage.
- Detail-oriented, good time management, and able to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and coordination skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Other Requirements
- Willing to be based in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, and to travel occasionally for audits, government meetings, or supplier visits.
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
