MYFutureJobs is recruiting on behalf of an established manufacturing company in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan.

Position Details

Key Responsibilities

• Manufacturing & Production Management

• Lead and manage overall manufacturing operations to achieve production targets, quality standards, productivity goals, and delivery schedules.

• Oversee the operation, optimization, maintenance, and continuous improvement of HOMAG machinery and automated manufacturing technologies.

• Ensure maximum machine utilization, efficiency, and production output.

• Establish and monitor manufacturing KPIs relating to productivity, quality, safety, delivery, and cost performance.

• Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance operational excellence.

Engineering & Technical Leadership

• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and design intent to ensure manufacturability and installation feasibility.

• Provide technical leadership in translating design concepts into production-ready fabrication drawings and manufacturing plans.

• Lead technical troubleshooting and resolve manufacturing, fabrication, and installation issues.

• Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies, workflows, and automation solutions.

Design-to-Production Coordination

• Act as the key interface between Design, Engineering, Production, Project Coordination, Quality, and Site Installation teams.

• Ensure all departments are working from the latest approved drawings, specifications, BOMs, and project requirements.

Identify design discrepancies, fabrication conflicts, and installation risks, and coordinate corrective actions before project execution.

• Ensure fabricated products meet design intent, quality requirements, and site installation standards.

CAD/CAM & Engineering Software Management

• Utilize expert knowledge of:

AutoCAD

SolidWorks

Autodesk Fusion 360

• Review and validate 2D and 3D engineering drawings.

• Support CAD/CAM integration and CNC programming requirements.

• Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost efficiency, and installation effectiveness.

• Collaborate with designers and engineers to improve product design and manufacturing processes.

Project Management & Delivery

• Develop and manage Project Master Plans (PMP) for each project phase:

Design & Engineering

Procurement

Production

Quality Control

Logistics

Site Installation

• Establish project schedules, milestones, manpower planning, and resource allocation.

• Monitor project progress and implement recovery plans whenever necessary.

• Ensure projects are delivered within budget, to quality standards, and on time.

Installation & Site Management

• Monitor site installation activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety requirements.

• Provide technical support and solutions during site installation and project implementation.

• Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.

• Conduct site visits and oversee project commissioning when required.

Commercial & Costing

• Prepare project costing, production feasibility studies, and budget estimates.

• Assist in tender submissions and technical proposals.

• Support value engineering initiatives to improve profitability and project execution efficiency.

• Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, coach, and develop engineering, production, project coordination, and installation teams.

• Promote a culture of accountability, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

• Strengthen technical competency and cross-functional collaboration across departments.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline.

Experience

*Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in Manufacturing Operations, Production Management, Engineering Management, or Project Management within a manufacturing environment.

• Experience in retail fit-out, furniture manufacturing, shopfitting, metal fabrication, or engineered manufacturing industries is highly preferred.

• Proven experience managing projects from design, fabrication, production, and installation through to project completion.

• Hands-on experience with CNC machinery, panel processing, cutting technologies, and HOMAG equipment is highly advantageous.

Technical Competencies

• Expert proficiency in:

AutoCAD

SolidWorks

Autodesk Fusion 360

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing engineering, fabrication, CNC machining, assembly, and installation processes.

• Ability to interpret and review complex engineering drawings and technical specifications.

• Experience with CAD/CAM systems, CNC programming, nesting optimization, and manufacturing automation.

• Strong project planning and scheduling capabilities.

• Experience developing and managing Project Master Plans (PMP).

• Excellent troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.

Language Requirements

• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.

• Mandarin proficiency is highly preferred due to the need to:

• Interpret machinery manuals and technical documentation from China.

• Liaise with machine suppliers and technical support teams.

• Support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of imported machinery
