Job Summary

Responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of goods hoists, ensuring work is completed safely and according to approved drawings, manufacturer instructions, and company requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical fitting, alignment, drilling, and fabrication work as required.
• Install electrical wiring, control panels, limit switches, and door interlocks within assigned competency.
• Perform preventive maintenance, including inspection, lubrication, adjustment, and replacement of worn components.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults involving hoists, motors, brakes, control systems, and safety devices.
• Assist engineers with testing, commissioning, load testing, and inspection preparation.
• Attend customer breakdown calls and carry out repairs at site.
• Record service findings, work completed, parts replaced, and outstanding defects.
• Explain basic operating procedures and routine care to customers.
• Follow site safety procedures, including power isolation, working at height, and proper use of PPE.
• Report unsafe conditions immediately and ensure defective equipment is not returned to service until authorised.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and workshop housekeeping.

Requirements

• Technical certificate or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in goods hoists, cranes, lifts, industrial machinery, or equipment maintenance is an advantage.
• Able to read basic mechanical drawings and electrical wiring diagrams.
• Familiar with hand tools, power tools, and basic testing instruments.
• Welding, fabrication, motor control, or PLC troubleshooting skills are an advantage.
• Willing to work at height, travel to project sites, and work overtime when required.
• Responsible, safety-conscious, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driving licence is preferred.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
