About the role
We are seeking an Inspector of Works (Civil & Structural) to join our team and oversee the quality and progress of construction works at our project site.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide full-time supervision at the construction site.
- Monitor and inspect contractors' works to ensure they are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and relevant standards.
- Carry out inspections and coordinate testing activities as required.
- Monitor and ensure proper quality control throughout the construction process.
- Identify and report any defects, non-compliance or workmanship issues.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants and relevant project personnel on site matters.
- Monitor the progress and quality of civil and structural works.
- Ensure construction works are executed safely, properly and in accordance with project requirements.
- Prepare and maintain relevant site inspection and quality control records.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Civil & Structural Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) as an Inspector of Works.
- 2–5 years of relevant site experience, particularly in the supervision of building works.
- Good knowledge of construction practices, approved drawings and relevant standards.
- Able to work independently and maintain a high level of responsibility at the project site.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
