Key Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding where required.
• Assist in transferring and mobilising patients safely, including the use of wheelchairs, stretchers, and other mobility aids.
• Assist patients with positioning and provide support to ensure their comfort and safety.
• Respond promptly to patients' requests and attend to their basic needs.
• Assist nursing staff with non-clinical patient care activities as instructed.
• Observe patients and promptly report any changes in their condition, behaviour, or comfort level to the nursing staff.
• Assist with preparation and transfer of patients for procedures, investigations, appointments, or discharge as instructed.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness, tidiness, and a comfortable environment in patient rooms and assigned areas.
• Ensure patient beds, bedside areas, and basic equipment are kept clean and properly arranged.
• Assist with transporting patients, specimens, documents, and medical equipment within the hospital when required.
• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge-related activities under the direction of nursing staff.
• Handle and dispose of waste appropriately in accordance with hospital infection control procedures.
• Follow hospital policies, procedures, infection prevention and control guidelines, and patient safety requirements.
• Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.
• Communicate courteously and professionally with patients, families, visitors, nurses, doctors, and other hospital staff.
• Report incidents, accidents, hazards, or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor immediately.
• Perform other duties related to patient care and hospital operations as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification.
• Certificate in Patient Care Assistant, Healthcare Assistant, Nursing Assistant, or related qualification will be an advantage.
• Previous experience in a hospital, healthcare, nursing home, or elderly care environment is preferred.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with no healthcare experience may be considered, subject to suitability and training.
• Physically fit and able to assist with patient mobility and transfers.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Caring, patient, responsible, and compassionate towards patients.
• Able to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays where required.
• Able to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Good personal hygiene and professional appearance.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
