Role Description This full-time Finance Accounting Manager role is based in Kota Kinabalu and follows a hybrid work model, combining on-site presence with some work-from-home flexibility. The Finance Accounting Manager will oversee the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy, compliance with relevant standards, and timely submission. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing budgeting and forecasting processes, monitoring cash flow, and supporting strategic financial planning for the group’s regional and international operations. The role will supervise accounting activities such as general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing, while strengthening internal controls and financial policies. The Finance Accounting Manager will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies, and provide clear financial insights to leadership to support data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Finance and Financial Reporting, with the ability to interpret and communicate financial data clearly.
• Experience preparing and reviewing Financial Statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and group policies.
• Proficiency in Budgeting and financial planning, including forecasting and cost control.
• Well-developed Analytical Skills for evaluating trends, variances, and profitability to support decision-making.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience with accounting systems and ERP software, and strong Excel skills.
• Knowledge of international trade, supply chain, or commodity trading environments is beneficial.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a finance team, manage deadlines, and maintain high ethical and compliance standards.
• Effective communication skills in English; additional language abilities are an asset.
