Role Description The Quality Control Inspector is a full-time, on-site role based in Bintulu. This position is responsible for performing inspections on materials, equipment, and construction activities to verify compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. The role includes documenting inspection results, identifying non-conformities, and collaborating with project teams to implement corrective and preventive actions. The Quality Control Inspector will review quality-related documentation, support audits, and contribute to continuous improvement of quality processes on site. This role also involves regular communication with engineers, contractors, and management to ensure quality objectives are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Strong Quality Control and Inspection skills to verify materials, workmanship, and processes against applicable standards and specifications.
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance and Quality Management principles to support implementation, monitoring, and improvement of quality systems.
- Effective Communication skills to report findings clearly, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and support training on quality requirements.
- Experience in industrial, construction, or EPC project environments, ideally in plants or large-scale facilities.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, codes, and standards relevant to engineering and construction projects.
- Attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing quality issues.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools, measurement equipment, and basic office software for documentation and reporting.
- Relevant technical diploma or degree in engineering, quality, or a related field; professional certifications in quality or inspection are an advantage.
- Commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and ethical conduct in all site activities.
