About the role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate General Practitioner to join our healthcare team at PMG Healthcare Sdn. Bhd. in Papar, Sabah. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in providing primary healthcare services to our diverse patient population. As a General Practitioner, you will be at the forefront of patient care, delivering comprehensive medical services, diagnoses, and treatment whilst maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence and patient safety. Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, taking detailed medical histories and performing comprehensive physical examinations

• Diagnose acute and chronic illnesses, and develop appropriate treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs

• Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions in accordance with clinical guidelines and best practice standards

• Provide health promotion and disease prevention advice to patients, including lifestyle modifications and preventative care strategies

• Manage routine health screenings and immunisations in line with national health protocols

• Refer patients to specialist services when necessary, ensuring continuity of care and appropriate follow-up

• Maintain accurate and timely medical records for all patients whilst ensuring compliance with data protection regulations

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and staff members to deliver integrated patient care

• Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate clinical interventions as required

• Stay current with medical developments and participate in continuing professional development activities

What we're looking for

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) recognised by relevant medical regulatory bodies

• Current and valid medical practitioner licence or registration to practise as a General Practitioner

• Proven experience working as a General Practitioner in a primary healthcare setting, ideally within the Malaysian healthcare system

• Strong clinical knowledge and competence in managing common acute and chronic conditions

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds

• Compassionate and patient-centred approach to healthcare delivery

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

• Strong organisational and time management skills to manage multiple patient consultations efficiently

• Commitment to maintaining professional ethics, confidentiality, and patient safety standards

• Proficiency in relevant medical software and electronic health records systems

• Willingness to engage in continuing medical education and professional development
