Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily construction activities and ensure safe working practices.
  • Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
  • Ensure workers use appropriate PPE and follow safety procedures.
  • Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
  • Prepare and maintain safety documentation, inspection checklists and reports.
  • Assist in risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
  • Monitor excavation, earthworks, roadworks, drainage, utilities and other infrastructure activities.
  • Ensure proper barricading, signage and traffic management at site.
  • Report unsafe conditions, incidents and near-misses to the relevant management.
  • Assist with incident investigations and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers, subcontractors and project managers on safety matters.
  • Monitor housekeeping and ensure materials, equipment and machinery are safely managed.
  • Ensure workers and subcontractors comply with site safety requirements.
  • Assist during DOSH/JKKP, client or consultant safety inspections.
  • Maintain records of safety training, permits, inspections and corrective actions.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) certification registered with DOSH/JKKP.
  • Relevant CIDB Green Card.
  • Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related field is often preferred.
  • Experience in construction/infrastructure projects, especially roadworks, earthworks, drainage, utilities, or structures.
  • Knowledge of OSHA 1994, DOSH/JKKP requirements and construction safety procedures.
  • Able to conduct site inspections, toolbox meetings, risk assessments and safety briefings.
  • Able to prepare safety reports, checklists, incident reports and other documentation.
  • Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with workers, subcontractors, engineers and project management.
  • Able to work on-site and in outdoor conditions.
  • Basic computer skills, especially Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to identify hazards and take appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Experience with traffic management, excavation, lifting activities and machinery safety is an advantage.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
