Job Summary
The Drafter is responsible for preparing and revising accurate technical drawings for hospital construction projects. The role requires close coordination with architects, engineers, consultants and site teams to ensure drawings meet project requirements, healthcare facility specifications and actual site conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare architectural, structural and M&E technical drawings using AutoCAD, Revit or related software.
- Produce detailed drawings for hospital areas such as wards, operating theatres, laboratories, pharmacies, clinics and utility rooms.
- Prepare shop drawings, coordination drawings, submission drawings and as-built drawings.
- Update drawings based on consultant comments, design changes and site conditions.
- Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and medical-gas layouts.
- Identify drawing discrepancies, clashes and constructability issues before site execution.
- Ensure drawings comply with approved designs, project specifications and relevant healthcare requirements.
- Maintain proper drawing registers, revision records and document-control procedures.
- Conduct site measurements and verify completed works against approved drawings.
- Work closely with the Project Manager, Architect, Architecture Supervisor, engineers, subcontractors and consultants.
- Attend technical and coordination meetings when required.
- Complete drawings according to the project schedule and submission deadlines.
Requirements
- Diploma or Certificate in Architectural Drafting, Architecture, Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of drafting experience in construction.
- Experience in hospital, healthcare or complex building projects is strongly preferred.
- Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit, BIM, SketchUp or Navisworks is an advantage.
- Able to interpret architectural, structural and M&E drawings.
- Familiar with shop drawings, coordination drawings and as-built documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Willing to work at the project site when required.
Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
