Responsibilities

About the role

We are seeking for an Accounts & Admin Executive to join our growing team in Kuching, Sarawak. Work location will be based at Stutong area.

Key responsibilities

  • Processing and recording financial transactions, including invoices, purchase orders, and expense claims

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounting records and ledgers

  • Reconciling bank statements and resolving any discrepancies

  • Preparing financial reports and statements for management review

  • Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

  • Handling the preparation of month-end and year-end financial closing processes

  • Handling payroll administration and related documentation

  • Managing general administrative duties including filing and correspondence

  • Liaising with external parties such as auditors, tax authorities, and suppliers

  • Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial and administrative information

What we're looking for

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional qualification

  • Proven experience as an Accounts Officer, Accounts Clerk, or similar accounting role, preferably 2-3 years in a full accounting cycle

  • Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting standards

  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail

  • Strong organisational and time management abilities with the capacity to handle multiple tasks

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Bahasa Malaysia

  • Ability to work independently whilst maintaining a collaborative approach within the team

  • Integrity and trustworthiness in handling confidential financial information

  • Knowledge of Malaysian taxation and accounting regulations is advantageous

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes
