Cryocord Hiring! Full Time AI Engineer Intern in Selangor - Ricebowl

About the role

The AI Projects Lab builds the internal platforms, AI systems, agents and automation used across CryoCord Group.

We are looking for AI Engineer Interns who want practical experience building real systems rather than working only on theoretical or isolated internship projects.

You will work alongside our engineering team on AI applications, internal platforms, automation, web and mobile systems. Depending on your strengths, you may contribute across AI engineering, backend development, frontend development, integrations, data or UI/UX.

You will be given real problems to solve, guidance from the engineering team, and the opportunity to see how your work is used inside an operating healthcare and biotechnology organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in building and improving AI-powered applications, internal platforms and automation systems.

• Develop features across frontend, backend, APIs, databases and AI integrations depending on project requirements.

• Work with modern AI development tools and learn how to evaluate, test and improve AI-generated outputs and code.

• Assist with LLM applications, AI agents, retrieval systems, workflow automation and system integrations.

• Help build clean and practical web or mobile interfaces that are easy for employees and customers to use.

• Test applications, investigate bugs and improve system reliability and usability.

• Work alongside engineers and business stakeholders to understand real operational problems and turn them into working solutions.

• Document development work and technical decisions so projects can be maintained by the wider engineering team.

• Follow CryoCord's security, privacy and data-protection requirements when working with company, customer or healthcare-related information.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, Data Science or a related discipline.

• Strong interest in AI engineering, software development or full-stack development.

• Some practical programming experience through university projects, personal projects, hackathons, freelance work or previous internships.

• Exposure to one or more of the following is an advantage: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, APIs, databases, LLMs, AI agents, RAG, automation or mobile development.

• Comfortable using modern AI development tools to assist with research, coding, testing and problem solving.

• Able to learn unfamiliar technologies quickly and willing to work across different parts of a system.

• Good problem-solving ability and attention to detail.

• Able to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

• Good command of spoken and written English.

We do not expect interns to already know everything. We are more interested in demonstrated ability, curiosity, learning speed and evidence that you have actually tried to build things.
