Job Purpose
To drive sales growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing customer relationships, following up on enquiries and converting qualified leads into confirmed orders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Generation and Business Development
- Identify and approach potential corporate clients, event companies, offices and business partners.
- Generate new leads through calls, emails, WhatsApp, networking, referrals and other suitable channels.
- Build and maintain an organised database of prospects and business contacts.
- Qualify leads according to their requirements, budget, timeline and purchase potential.
- Arrange product presentations, tastings or meetings when required.
2. Corporate and Bulk Sales
- Handle enquiries for corporate gifting, festive products, events and bulk purchases.
- Recommend suitable products and packages based on the client’s needs and budget.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, product catalogues and pricing options.
- Negotiate pricing and commercial terms within the company’s approved guidelines.
- Follow up consistently until the sale is confirmed or the opportunity is closed.
- Upsell relevant products, customisation and add-on services to increase order value.
3. Business Accounts
- Identify businesses that may require regular cake, dessert or food supplies.
- Present suitable wholesale or supply arrangements to potential clients.
- Coordinate product samples, pricing discussions and trial orders.
- Develop one-time customers into recurring business accounts.
- Monitor account performance and identify opportunities to increase purchase frequency.
4. Customer and Account Management
- Build strong, professional relationships with new and existing clients.
- Maintain regular contact with key accounts and identify upcoming celebrations, campaigns or gifting needs.
- Follow up after order completion to collect feedback and encourage repeat purchases.
- Address sales-related concerns and coordinate internally to resolve client issues.
- Maintain accurate records of client communications, quotations, follow-ups and order status.
5. Sales Coordination and Order Handover
- Collect complete order information, including product, quantity, delivery schedule, location, customisation and billing requirements.
- Ensure confirmed orders, payment terms and client expectations are properly documented.
- Coordinate with Customer Service, Operations, Logistics, Finance, Vendors and Marketing for smooth order fulfilment.
- Provide the Operations team with sufficient preparation time, especially for large or customised orders.
- Monitor important orders until successful completion.
6. Sales Planning and Reporting
- Maintain an updated sales pipeline showing leads, quotations, follow-up dates, probability and expected revenue.
- Submit weekly reports covering leads generated, follow-ups, quotations, confirmed sales and lost opportunities.
- Prepare monthly sales forecasts and action plans.
- Track performance against the assigned monthly sales target.
- Explain sales gaps and propose practical recovery actions.
- Share customer feedback and market insights with the relevant departments.
7. Campaign and Product Support
- Work with the Brand and Marketing team to support seasonal and festive campaigns.
- Provide input on packages, pricing, promotions and products based on customer demand.
- Follow up on campaign-generated leads promptly.
- Identify products with strong corporate, gifting or recurring-sales potential.
- Support business events, exhibitions, product launches and tasting sessions when required.

Job Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or a related field.
- Experience in sales, business development, corporate gifting, hospitality, food and beverage or e-commerce is preferred.
- Confident in approaching and communicating with new prospects.
- Strong negotiation, presentation and relationship-management skills.
- Able to use Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets and basic sales-tracking systems.
- Organised and disciplined in managing leads and follow-ups.
- Results-driven and comfortable working with monthly sales targets.
- Good written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage.
- Willing to attend client meetings, events and product presentations when required.
