Job Summary
The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing project costs, contracts, claims and commercial matters from pre-construction through project completion. The role ensures that construction projects are delivered within budget while maintaining contractual compliance and protecting the company’s commercial interests.

Key Responsibilities
* Prepare cost estimates, budgets, Bills of Quantities and tender documents.
* Conduct quantity take-offs based on construction drawings and specifications.
* Source quotations and evaluate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
* Prepare tender comparisons and recommend suitable subcontractors.
* Review and manage subcontractor appointments, contracts and purchase orders.
* Prepare and submit progress claims, variation orders and extension-of-time supporting documents.
* Evaluate subcontractor progress claims and recommend payments.
* Monitor project costs, commitments, cash flow and budget performance.
* Maintain accurate records of measurements, site instructions and variations.
* Attend site meetings, progress meetings and commercial discussions.
* Conduct site measurements and verify completed works.
* Identify potential commercial risks and cost-saving opportunities.
* Prepare monthly cost reports, forecasts and project financial updates.
* Manage contractual correspondence and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
* Liaise with clients, consultants, architects, engineers, subcontractors and internal project teams.
* Prepare final accounts and negotiate the settlement of outstanding claims.
* Support project handover and commercial close-out.

Requirements
* Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field.
* Relevant experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
* AT LEAST 3-4 Years of Experience.
* Good knowledge of construction methods, materials, contracts and cost-control practices.
* Able to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
* Familiar with tendering, progress claims, variation orders and final accounts.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and quantity surveying or measurement software.
* Strong numerical, analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
* Able to manage deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision.
* Willing to travel to project sites when required.

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
