VACANCY: PRODUCT DESIGN ENGINEER – PLASTIC & HDPE PRODUCTS

MYFutureJobs is assisting an established manufacturer of plastic, polythene and HDPE products in recruiting a qualified Product Design Engineer.

Location: Nilai, Negeri Sembilan

Basic Salary: RM3,500 per month

Experience: Minimum three years

Qualification: Minimum Diploma in Product Design, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field

Key Responsibilities

• Develop product designs from initial concept through to production.
• Prepare sketches, design concepts, mood boards, 3D models, renderings and prototypes.
• Produce detailed technical drawings, product specifications and Bills of Materials.
• Ensure designs are practical, functional and suitable for manufacturing.
• Work closely with Production, Quality Control, Sales and other internal teams.
• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors and tooling or manufacturing partners.
• Support product trials, design validation and process improvement activities.
• Ensure products meet applicable requirements and certifications, including SIRIM, IKRAM, SPAN and ANQAS.
• Maintain accurate design records and technical documentation.

Requirements

• At least three years of relevant experience in product design or product development.
• Proficient in relevant 2D and 3D design, CAD and rendering software.
• Able to prepare technical drawings, specifications and Bills of Materials.
• Good understanding of materials, manufacturing processes and product development.
• Experience in plastic, polythene, HDPE or manufacturing environments is an advantage.
• Able to coordinate effectively with production teams, vendors and other stakeholders.
