• Wash, peel, chop, and cut fruits, vegetables, meat, and fish according to exact recipe specifications and quality standards.
• Set up the main kitchen workstation, monitor cooking equipment temperatures (ovens, grills, broilers), and execute basic cooking tasks with minimal supervision.
• Accurately measuring meal ingredients for the Chef de Partie.
• Plating and presenting meal items as per the Chef de Partie’s instructions.
• Makes sure all fridges are clean at all times and well stocked.
• Picks up the store items and double checks the items issued with the food requisition.
• Picks up the meat and daily specials from the butchery.
• Clean and maintain works areas and equipment and makes sure his/her working area is clean at all times.
