Maintenance ManagerJob Summary

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager with strong core managerial experience in facility/plant maintenance. The ideal candidate should have proven experience managing maintenance teams, planning maintenance activities, controlling maintenance costs, and ensuring the reliability and safety of facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the maintenance team, including technicians, engineers, and contractors.
• Plan, schedule, and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Oversee overall facility and building maintenance, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, utilities, and related systems.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to improve equipment and facility reliability.
• Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts, contractors, and external service providers.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs, downtime, maintenance costs, and work completion.
• Ensure compliance with company safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for recurring equipment/facility issues.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with production, operations, EHS, and other departments.
• Manage and develop maintenance personnel through training, performance monitoring, and coaching.
• Prepare maintenance reports and provide regular updates to senior management.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives within the maintenance function.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of maintenance experience, with significant experience in a managerial/supervisory role.
• Proven experience managing a maintenance team and not only performing hands-on maintenance work.
• Strong background in facility/plant maintenance management.
• Experience in preventive maintenance planning, budgeting, contractor management, and maintenance KPI management.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Experience in manufacturing/industrial environments is an advantage.

Key Candidate Profile

Priority should be given to candidates who have:

• Actual Maintenance Manager / Maintenance Head / Engineering Manager experience.
• Experience leading and managing a maintenance team.
• Responsibility for maintenance budget and planning.
• Strong facility/plant maintenance knowledge.
• Proven experience managing contractors, vendors, KPIs, and maintenance improvement projects.

Avoid candidates whose experience is mainly as Maintenance Technician/Engineer without substantial people-management and maintenance-management responsibilities.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
