Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
Operation and Monitoring: Run and monitor low-voltage electrical systems, main switchboards (MSB), distribution boards (DB), and control panels.
Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment and machinery to prevent unexpected power failures. Assist maintenance team in preventive and breakdown maintenance.
Troubleshooting: Respond quickly to electrical faults, alarms, power outages, and equipment breakdowns.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure all electrical works and installations comply with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission), DOSH, DOE and BOMBA regulations and statutory safety standards.
Authority and Vendor Liaison: Coordinate with utility providers like TNB (Tenaga Nasional Berhad) and external contractors or government inspectors during site audits or supply issues.
Record Keeping: Maintain daily logbooks, inventory records, switching logs, and safety reports.
Qualifications:
Certification: Must hold a valid Chargeman Grade A4 Certificate of Competency issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga Malaysia.
Education: Minimum High School Certificate, Vocational Certificate, or a Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in low-voltage system maintenance, building facilities, or manufacturing plant operations.
Skills: Strong knowledge of local electrical safety acts, IEE wiring regulations, and good problem-solving abilities. Able to work shift and overtime.
Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
