About the role
This is a business development role focused on pipeline generation, meeting creation and deal support for critical infrastructure operators, government departments, financial institutions and public bodies in Hong Kong. You will build and maintain target account lists, generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, qualify leads, and map stakeholders within target accounts to identify routes to budget holders. You will secure and prepare first meetings, attend customer meetings, own follow-up activities, and coordinate proof-of-concept and technical evaluation logistics. You will support proposal preparation, assist with channel and partner development, maintain accurate opportunity records, and report on market intelligence including competitor activity and regulatory developments.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain the target account list of Hong Kong critical infrastructure operators, government departments and public bodies, banks, insurers and other financial institutions
- Generate new business opportunities through outbound calling, email campaigns, referrals, industry associations and networking events
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads against agreed criteria — organisation type, security budget cycle, access to decision makers, and evaluation timeline
- Map stakeholders within target accounts (IT security, IT operations, risk & compliance, procurement) and identify the route to the budget holder
- Secure and prepare sales materials, including account research, agenda and pre-read materials
- Attend customer meetings and own the follow-up: meeting notes, action items, and scheduling the next step
- Support the preparation of proposals, quotations and tender submissions; track deadlines and compile supporting documentation
- Maintain accurate opportunity records and pipeline data; provide weekly reporting on activity, opportunities created and stage progression
- Represent the company at Hong Kong cybersecurity industry events, seminars and association activities
About you
- Degree or higher diploma in any discipline
- 2–4 years' experience in B2B sales, business development or inside sales
- Demonstrated ability to generate meetings through outbound prospecting — this role starts from a cold list, not an inherited account base
- Fluent spoken Cantonese and good written and spoken English
- Strong written communication
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working in a small team where the process is still being built
- Experience selling IT, software, SaaS or technology solutions (advantageous)
- Background in, or genuine interest in, cybersecurity (advantageous)
