The Research & Development Executive will be responsible for conducting research, product development, testing, and process improvement for felt-based acoustic and thermal insulation products. The role is essential in supporting the company’s mission to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions to meet evolving customer needs.

Job Description :

• Research new raw materials, formulations, and technologies to improve product performance and cost efficiency.
• Design, develop, and test new felt products for acoustic and heat insulation applications.
• Collaborate with Production, QC, and Sales teams to implement and commercialize new products or improved processes.
• Conduct laboratory testing, evaluate test data, and compile technical reports to support findings and recommendations.
• Optimize manufacturing processes for better quality, reduced waste, and improved productivity.
• Monitor industry trends, new materials, and technological advancements related to felting and insulation.
• Require to development new product / new formulation for existing product for cost saving and better product quality to meet customer requirement.
• Prepare sample of product for customer approval before mass production run.
• Develop raw materials, processes and products to support the business strategy including new product design or product/process enhancement.
• Maintain accurate R&D records, lab data, formulations, and documentation according to ISO or internal quality standards.
• Ensure all R&D activities comply with company safety and environmental regulations.
• Provide technical support and training to internal departments as needed.
• Support QC department to investigate the root cause on product quality defect based on customer complaints and rejections through Corrective Action Plan
• Develops the documentation required for new products in compliance with ISO 9001 correctly.

Job Requirement :

• Bachelors Degree in Textile/Polymer/Material Science/Chemical or any related studies is preferred.
• Knowledge on textile , fabric , rubber , heat & sound insulation will be added advantages
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced environment and on multiple projects simultaneously, as well as, the ability to interface effectively with other functions
• At least 3 year R&D experience in textile/ automotive/rubber/air-cond/acoustic industry.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,300.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
