Job Description

REMOTE WORKING

Ascentia Ace Sdn. Bhd. is part of the Ascentia Ace group, a corporate services firm operating in Singapore and Malaysia. We provide corporate secretarial, accounting, tax and payroll services. This role is fully remote and open to candidates anywhere in Malaysia.

Full set accounting experience is a prerequisite. Audit experience in addition is an advantage, as this role reviews the work of others as well as preparing accounts.

~Manage a portfolio of Singapore SME clients, with some Malaysia clients too.
~Prepare and maintain comprehensive and accurate full sets of accounts.
~Prepare month end schedules and adjusting entries, and close the books on time.
~Review and prepare GST returns, ensuring compliance and minimising client risk.
~Prepare tax computations and liaise with our tax and audit partners.
~Draft unaudited financial statements.
~Deliver monthly reporting packages tailored to each client's needs.
~Manage monthly payroll processing for assigned clients.
~Oversee the work of team leads and accounting team members, review their output, and coach them on treatment and deadlines.
~Communicate directly with clients on queries, documents and statutory deadlines.
~Use cloud based software such as Xero, Talenox, Bukku and Microsoft Teams to run efficient remote workflows.

Report directly to the Principal Consultant and Director in our Singapore office.

Educational Qualifications and Requirements

~A degree in Accounting or Finance, a completed ACCA qualification, or membership of a recognised professional accounting body such as MIA, MICPA or CPA Australia.
~Three to six years of full set accounting experience, gained in an out-sourced accounting firm or an outsourced service provider handling multiple clients.
~Experience leading or supervising a small team (of 5 pax) is strongly preferred.
~Audit experience in addition to accounting experience is an advantage.
~Experience with Singapore client accounts is preferred. Candidates without it must be prepared to study the Singapore regulatory framework on their own initiative, including ACRA and IRAS requirements, and get up to speed quickly.
~Hands on experience with Xero is highly regarded. Bukku experience is an advantage.
~A good command of spoken and written English for effective remote communication with internal teams and clients.
~Strong analytical and problem solving ability with a detail oriented approach.
~Able to manage multiple client portfolios at once and meet firm statutory deadlines.
~Self motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting, without close supervision.

Salary, Work Hours and Benefits

~Salary: RM4,000 to RM6,000 per month, subject to EPF, SOCSO and EIS contributions. ~Salary within the range depends on experience, and is reviewed once capability is demonstrated.
~Besides basic salary, there will be allowances for eligible candidates, performance incentive and discretionary bonus

Working hours:
5 day work week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 7pm, with a one hour lunch break.
Saturday (when required and necessary)

Location: Fully remote, open to candidates across East and West Malaysia.
