Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities at site.
• Monitor workers, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure works are carried out according to schedule.
• Ensure construction works comply with approved drawings, specifications and method statements.
• Monitor workmanship and quality of completed works.
• Coordinate site activities with the Project Manager, consultants, subcontractors and other relevant parties.
• Conduct daily site inspections and identify construction issues requiring attention.
• Monitor site progress and promptly report delays, issues and required corrective actions to management.
• Coordinate materials, machinery and manpower required for site activities.
• Check materials delivered to site against approved specifications and quantities.
• Maintain proper site records, including daily reports, progress photographs and work records.
• Ensure workers and subcontractors comply with site safety requirements and company procedures.
• Attend site meetings, inspections and coordination meetings when required.
• Assist with testing & commissioning, defect rectification and project handover.
• Maintain proper site housekeeping and organisation.
• Travel and be deployed to different project sites throughout Peninsular Malaysia as required.
• Carry out other site-related duties assigned by the Project Manager.

Requirements

• Diploma / Certificate / Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building or related field is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in construction site supervision is preferred.
• Experience in civil, structural, architectural and infrastructure works will be an advantage.
• Able to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
• Good knowledge of construction methods and site coordination.
• Able to supervise and manage workers and subcontractors independently.
• Responsible, disciplined and able to work under pressure.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Must be willing to work and stay outstation when required based on project needs.
• Possess own transport and a valid driving licence.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, AutoCAD and preparation of site reports.
• Knowledge of construction site safety requirements will be an advantage.
