Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Quantity Surveyor to independently manage projects, deliver accurate cost management services, and communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors.

Responsibilities

Deliver quantity surveying and cost management services to ensure accurate financial control of construction projects

Prepare detailed cost estimates, tender documents, bills of quantities, and contract documentation to support project bidding and execution

Evaluate and assess variations, progress claims, and final accounts to maintain project budget integrity

Perform precise measurement and valuation of construction works to verify contract compliance

Review variation orders, claims, and contractual cost matters to provide sound commercial recommendations

Compile cost reports and commercial assessments to inform project stakeholders and support decision-making

Liaise proactively with clients, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders to facilitate smooth project delivery

Participate in project meetings to represent quantity surveying interests and resolve cost-related issues

Maintain comprehensive records and documentation related to project costs and contractual matters for audit and reference

Manage assigned projects and deliverables independently, ensuring timely completion within agreed deadlines

Execute additional quantity surveying, contract administration, and commercial duties as required to support project success

Preferred competencies and qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or related discipline

Relevant experience in quantity surveying or construction cost consultancy

Knowledge of construction contracts and contract administration

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word

Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical information

Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines efficiently

Self-motivated and responsible with capability to work independently with minimal supervision

Collaborative team player able to work effectively within project teams
