About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant/Executive to join the accounting team on a full-time based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. As an Accounts Assistant/Executive, you will play a vital part in supporting our finance function, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and contributing to the smooth financial operations of the company, helping to ensure accurate financial records and smooth day-to-day operations. This role is fundamental to maintaining the financial integrity of the organisation and supporting the broader finance function.

What you'll be doing

1. Process invoices, payment vouchers and petty cash claims.

2. Handle full set of accounts (GL, AP, AR, Bank Reconciliation) up to Trial Balance/Management Accounts.

3. Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register, including recording new asset purchases, disposals, and transfers.

4. Filing and maintain proper documentation for audit trails (including asset purchase invoices and warranty documents).

5. Assist in budgeting and forecasting process.

6. Prepare and file E-INV/SST returns accurately and on time.

7. Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries.

8. Perform other ad hoc assignments as and when necessary, as assigned by the superior from time to time.

What we're looking for

1. Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Degree preferred.

2. Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English.

3. Candidates who are fluent in Mandarin are preferred because the role requires candidates to interact with Mandarin-speaking clients.

4. Handling full set of closing final accounts at least 5year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

5. Must possess good analytical skills, attentive to details; must be organized, high initiative, able to work independently under pressure and committed to ensure deadlines are met.

6. Proficiency in accounting software SQL Accounting preferred,Microsoft Office/Excel.

Salary Range: RM2,000.00 to RM4,500.00
