Key Responsibilities
1. Human Resources Management
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures and practices in line with company requirements and applicable Malaysian labour laws.
- Manage the overall HR operation including recruitment, employee relations, attendance, leave, disciplinary matters and employee welfare.
- Provide HR advice and support to management and HODs on employee-related matters.
- Monitor manpower requirements and prepare manpower planning according to business needs.
2. Recruitment & Manpower Planning
- Manage end-to-end recruitment activities for local and foreign workers.
- Work closely with HODs to identify manpower requirements and recruitment priorities.
- Monitor recruitment costs, turnover and time-to-fill vacancies.
- Develop recruitment strategies to attract and retain suitable candidates.
- Manage expatriate & foreign worker documentation, permits, renewals, transfers and related government requirements.
3. Employee Relations & Industrial Relations
- Handle employee grievances, complaints, counselling and disciplinary cases.
- Conduct domestic inquiry and disciplinary processes in accordance with company procedures and applicable laws.
- Maintain good employer-employee relationships and promote a positive working environment.
- Advise management on employment-related disputes and industrial relations matters.
4. Compliance & Audit
- Ensure HR practices comply with the Employment Act 1955, relevant labour regulations and government requirements.
- Coordinate and support RBA, JTK, customer, ISO and other compliance audits.
- Maintain proper HR documentation and records for audit requirements.
- Monitor working hours, overtime, wages, leave, benefits and employment conditions.
- Ensure company policies comply with applicable statutory requirements.
5. Payroll & Benefits
- Manage monthly payroll preparation and ensure accurate submission of payroll information.
- Monitor attendance, overtime, allowances, deductions and leave records.
- Ensure statutory contributions and payments such as EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB are properly administered.
- Prepare payroll reports and resolve discrepancies with relevant parties.
6. Administration & Employee Welfare
- Oversee HR administration, hostel, transportation and employee welfare matters where applicable.
- Monitor hostel rules, safety, cleanliness and compliance requirements.
- Manage employee welfare activities and company engagement programmes.
- Coordinate company events, employee communications and HR-related activities.
7. Performance Management
- Coordinate employee performance appraisal and confirmation processes.
- Assist HODs in managing employee performance and development plans.
- Identify high-potential employees and support succession planning.
8. HR Reporting & Analytics
- Prepare monthly HR reports covering:
- Headcount
- Turnover
- Absenteeism
- Recruitment status
- Overtime
- Training
- Foreign workers
- Disciplinary cases
- Analyse HR trends and recommend improvement actions to management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in managing both HR and Administration functions.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment and labour requirements.
- Experience handling expatriate & foreign workers is an advantage.
- Experience in RBA / customer / JTK / ISO audits is highly preferred.
- Good leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and handle confidential information professionally.
Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
