Role Description The Software Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain software applications that support SAVERBRO’s products and internal systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing back-end features, writing clean and efficient code, troubleshooting issues, and participating in code reviews to ensure quality and reliability. The role involves collaborating closely with other engineers, product stakeholders, and QA to refine requirements, improve performance, and enhance system robustness. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Kota Kinabalu, working in a team-oriented environment with regular opportunities to learn and apply new technologies.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Computer Science principles, including data structures, algorithms, and software design concepts.
  • Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with practical experience building and maintaining production-level applications.
  • Experience in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and ability to apply OOP patterns to structure and maintain codebases.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
  • Ability to analyze problems, propose solutions, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical team members.
  • Experience with testing practices, debugging, and performance optimization is beneficial.
  • Interest in continuous learning and staying current with modern development tools and best practices.
