Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead and oversee the execution of all precast concrete installation and construction projects across Malaysia. The Project Director will provide strategic and operational leadership to project teams, ensuring all projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Oversight

• Oversee multiple projects across Malaysia from project commencement through completion.
• Provide leadership and direction to Project Managers, Construction Managers, and Site Teams.
• Ensure effective project governance, reporting, and performance monitoring.
• Establish best practices and standard operating procedures for project execution.

Project Planning & Execution

• Lead project planning, resource allocation, scheduling, and execution strategies.
• Monitor project milestones, progress, productivity, and risk management initiatives.
• Ensure timely completion of precast installation activities and related construction works.
• Identify and resolve critical project issues, bottlenecks, and resource constraints.

Precast Installation Management

• Oversee all aspects of precast product delivery, lifting operations, and installation works.
• Ensure compliance with approved erection methods, lifting plans, and site safety requirements.
• Coordinate closely with production, logistics, engineering, and site installation teams.
• Drive continuous improvement in installation productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.

Construction Management

• Review construction methodologies and sequencing plans.
• Ensure site operations meet contractual obligations and project specifications.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and resource utilization.
• Lead recovery plans for projects facing delays or operational challenges.

Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the key liaison with developers, consultants, main contractors, and clients.
• Chair project review meetings and performance assessments.
• Resolve high-level technical, contractual, and operational matters.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Promote a strong safety culture across all project sites.
• Ensure compliance with CIDB regulations, DOSH requirements, and company policies.
• Drive quality assurance and quality control initiatives throughout project execution.
• Monitor project audits and compliance assessments.

Commercial & Financial Performance

• Review project budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures.
• Monitor project profitability and financial performance.
• Support contract administration, variation orders, claims, and EOT submissions.
• Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, equipment, and project resources.

People Development

• Mentor and develop project management teams.
• Strengthen project management capabilities and succession planning.
• Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability and operational excellence.

Job Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
• Minimum 12-15 years of relevant experience in construction and project management.
• Strong experience in precast concrete manufacturing and installation projects.
• Strong understanding of project contracts, claims, risk management, and cost control.
• Knowledge of CIDB, DOSH, OSHA, and local statutory requirements.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects under tight timelines.
• Results-oriented with strong commercial awareness.
