Job Summary

Supersafe Industries Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced, hands-on Production Supervisor with direct technical exposure in rubber tiles, SBR/EPDM granules, and polyurethane (PU) binder processing. The successful candidate will drive daily floor-level manufacturing operations, manage shift operators, monitor hydraulic compression molding systems, and enforce strict ISO 9001 quality and safety standards.

This role requires strong shift leadership, scrap/waste minimization, machinery troubleshooting, and full readiness to support the plant relocation from Seri Kembangan to Semenyih in Q*************.

Key Responsibilities

1. Rubber & EPDM Manufacturing Operations

• Lead daily shift operations for rubber tile compression molding, EPDM granulate mixing, PU binder blending, and vulcanization processes.
• Monitor critical process parameters including temperature settings, curing cycles, hydraulic press pressure, and resin-to-granule mixing ratios to prevent product defects.
• Execute daily production schedules provided by Planning to meet delivery targets, shift output KPIs, and Machine Efficiency Rate (OEE) targets.
• Conduct regular raw material checks (SBR, EPDM, pigment powders, PU adhesives) and ensure accurate batch compounding according to product formulations.

2. Quality Assurance & ISO 9001 Compliance

• Enforce strict quality control checks (density, thickness, tensile strength, edge finish, and color consistency) during in-process production and final packing.
• Function as a key floor-level supervisor during ISO 9001:2015 quality audits, maintaining clean production records, batch tracking sheets, and material usage logs.
• Identify root causes for off-spec products, blistering, or improper bonding; implement immediate corrective actions (CAPA) to minimize scrap and raw material wastage.

3. Shift Leadership, Discipline & Foreign Worker Supervision

• Directly supervise, deploy, and monitor line operators and foreign general workers across assigned shifts.
• Manage worker attendance, overtime verification, shop-floor discipline, shift handovers, and compliance with company policies and Act 446 hostel/workplace standards.
• Conduct daily safety tool-box talks and train new or foreign operators on safe machinery operation, chemical handling, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

4. Machinery Upkeep, Maintenance & Safety (OSHA)

• Perform daily line inspections, autonomous maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of hydraulic press machines, heavy-duty mixers, edge trimmers, and mold tooling.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance/Engineering team for preventive maintenance schedules and emergency breakdown repairs to minimize line downtime.
• Enforce strict compliance with OSHA 1994 regulations, ensuring correct usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), proper chemical ventilation, machine guarding, and housekeeping (5S) on the factory floor.

5. Plant Relocation Support (Seri Kembangan to Semenyih - Q*************)

• Assist management in inventory counting, machinery dismounting, mold cataloging, and heavy equipment packing for the Semenyih plant migration.
• Participate in new plant production layout setup, press line re-commissioning, and trial runs at the Semenyih facility.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Polymer Science, Rubber Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Manufacturing, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 3 to 5+ years of supervisory experience specifically in rubber tile molding, EPDM playground surfaces, rubber recycling, or polymer/elastomer manufacturing. Candidates with direct rubber tile/EPDM experience are strongly preferred.
• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience operating hydraulic compression presses, high-shear mixers, rubber granulators, and handling PU binder/isocyanates.
• Quality & Safety: Practical working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards, 5S methodologies, and basic OSHA factory safety protocols.
• Leadership & Language: Strong command of Bahasa Malaysia and basic English to lead local operators and foreign worker crews effectively.
• Mobility: Willing and able to relocate working base from Seri Kembangan to Semenyih in Q************* and comfortable working rotational shift hours if required.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,200.00 per month
