The company offers an integrated suite of packaging and test services, including wafer bumping, probing, grinding, diverse IC packaging options, wafer-level CSP, and specialized RF, analog, digital, and mixed-signal testing. Its turnkey services span design, assembly, test, failure analysis, and comprehensive electrical, mechanical, and thermal characterization and modeling. Unisem is an established MEMS OSAT with extensive experience in high-volume consumer and automotive production across multiple applications. The company operates factories in Ipoh and Gopeng, Malaysia, and Chengdu, China, with headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.


Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Planner role based at Unisem’s facility in Gopeng. The Planner is responsible for coordinating production schedules, aligning customer orders with manufacturing capacity, and ensuring timely delivery of semiconductor assembly and test services. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and updating production plans, analyzing demand and inventory levels, issuing work orders, and monitoring work-in-progress to address bottlenecks or delays. The role involves close collaboration with operations, engineering, quality, and customer service teams to balance efficiency, cost, and customer requirements. The Planner also supports continuous improvement initiatives, maintains accurate planning data in relevant systems, and prepares reports to support decision-making.


Qualifications

  • Strong production planning and scheduling skills, including capacity planning and resource coordination within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with data analysis, forecasting, and inventory management using spreadsheets or planning tools.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor or electronics manufacturing processes, ideally including assembly and test operations.
  • Solid organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and support continuous improvement in planning processes.
  • Comfort working on-site in a fast-paced production environment and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in planning, production control, or supply chain within an industrial or high-tech setting is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with ERP or MRP systems is beneficial.
