Job Purpose
To execute and/or supervise maintenance activities to ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of refinery and jetty facilities while maintaining the required standards of quality and HSSE compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Comply with HRC HSSE standards, procedures and requirements.
- Execute maintenance activities in accordance with the GAME Maintenance Execution process.
- Execute and/or supervise maintenance work from planning through to completion and closure.
- Execute plant change and shutdown maintenance activities.
- Perform troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance on plant and jetty equipment.
- Maintain accurate equipment information and update the CMMS/SAP database.
- Work closely with Operations, Inspection, Engineering, Technologists, Procurement, Workshop teams and contractors on maintenance matters.
- Support other disciplines and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support Engineering teams in equipment integrity and reliability studies and initiatives.
- Be prepared to work during off-hours, weekends, public holidays and shutdown periods when required.
Discipline-Specific Responsibilities
Mechanical
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, compressors and static equipment, including valves, filters, vessels, columns and relief valves.
- Troubleshoot plant rotating equipment and mechanical systems.
Electrical
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment, including switchgear, MCCs, transformers, generators, UPS, VSDs, battery systems, capacitor banks, chargers, HVAC systems, cathodic protection systems, lighting, hoists/elevators and LV/HV motors.
- Perform routine electrical switching, load transfer, equipment resetting and generator synchronisation.
- Carry out Ex inspections, earthing inspections and maintenance of motor-operated valves.
Instrument
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including IPF testing, field instrumentation testing, TSO and control valve testing and servicing.
- Troubleshoot, repair and service field instrumentation such as flow, pressure, temperature and level transmitters, control valves, MOVs, PLCs and control systems.
Quality Measurement
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant and laboratory analysers.
- Repair and service quality measurement equipment, including plant analysers, gas detectors and laboratory equipment.
Key Challenges
- Ensure timely execution and closure of maintenance work.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, reliability, quality and HSSE compliance.
- Obtain and maintain the required competency certifications in accordance with HRC requirements.
- Be able to work outside normal office hours and support emergency and shutdown maintenance activities when required.
Requirements
- SPM/SPMV-equivalent qualification with a minimum of 5 years of relevant Oil & Gas maintenance experience; OR
- Certificate in a relevant technical field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant Oil & Gas maintenance experience.
- Hands-on experience in refinery, petrochemical, Oil & Gas or other process industry maintenance will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of maintenance practices, HSSE requirements and safe work procedures.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Willingness to obtain and maintain competency certifications required by HRC.
Additional Requirement – Electrical
- Minimum Chargeman A0 Certificate is required.
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
