About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic F&B Assistant to join the Food and Beverage team at Hotel Casuarina Meru. This is a full-time position based in Ipoh, Perak. As an F&B Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining and beverage experiences to our guests. You will work alongside our experienced team to ensure the smooth operation of our food and beverage facilities, contributing directly to guest satisfaction and the overall success of our hospitality operations.

Key responsibilities

1. Provide attentive and courteous service to guests across our dining areas and beverage outlets

2. Take orders accurately from guests and relay them promptly to the kitchen and bar teams

3. Deliver food and beverages to tables in a professional and timely manner, ensuring orders are correct and presented attractively

4. Clear and reset tables efficiently between seatings, maintaining high standards of cleanliness

5. Maintain knowledge of our menu offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods and recommendations

6. Assist in the preparation and stocking of dining areas before service

7. Support bar operations by assisting with drink preparation and serving beverages to guests

8. Handle cash and card transactions accurately whilst maintaining confidentiality

9. Respond promptly to guest requests and special requirements, ensuring satisfaction

10. Maintain compliance with food safety, hygiene and health regulations at all times

11. Collaborate with team members to support the smooth running of all F&B operations

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience in a hospitality, F&B or customer service environment is preferred but not essential

2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service

3. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail

4. Strong team player mentality with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues

5. Physical fitness and stamina to manage the demands of a busy hospitality role

6. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required

7. Professionalism, reliability and a positive attitude towards work

8. Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions and orders

9. Willingness to learn and develop skills within the F&B industry

10. Knowledge of food and beverage service standards is advantageous
