A Stock Keeper (or Inventory/Store Keeper) manages the flow of goods into, within, and out of a warehouse or storeroom. The role balances physical labor with administrative tracking to ensure stock levels are accurate and items are easily accessible.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Receive, inspect, and unload incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies against purchase orders.
- Maintain accurate, real-time stock records using inventory software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Zoho Inventory) or manual logs.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts, cycle counts, and audit reconciliation.
- Label, tag, and organize items efficiently to optimize storage space and picking speeds.
Order Fulfillment & Logistics
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping or internal department requests.
- Generate packing slips, shipping labels, and bills of lading.
- Coordinate with delivery drivers, couriers, and logistics vendors.
Safety & Maintenance
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse or storage facilities.
- Safely operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and barcode scanners.
- Dispose of obsolete, damaged, or expired stock according to company policy.
Key Requirements & Skills
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), basic computer/spreadsheet literacy, and barcode equipment.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift heavy boxes (often up to 50 lbs / 23 kg), stand or walk for long shifts, and operate material-handling machinery.
- Soft Skills: High attention to detail, organization, basic arithmetic, and clear communication skills.
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
