The Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) is responsible for monitoring and enforcing safety requirements at construction sites. The role ensures that workers, contractors and site personnel follow established safety procedures and that construction activities are carried out in a safe and compliant manner.

Key Responsibilities:
Monitor daily construction activities to ensure compliance with site safety requirements.
Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify hazards, unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.
Ensure workers and contractors comply with OSHA, DOSH/JKKP and company safety requirements.
Conduct and record daily toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Assist in implementing risk assessments, HIRARC and appropriate safety control measures.
Monitor compliance with safe work procedures, method statements and permit-to-work requirements.
Report unsafe conditions, incidents, near misses and safety violations to the SHO and project management.
Assist with accident and incident investigations and follow up on corrective actions.
Maintain safety checklists, inspection records, toolbox meeting records and other site safety documentation.
Conduct safety inductions and briefings for workers, subcontractors and visitors where required.
Monitor housekeeping, access routes, scaffolding, lifting activities, machinery and other high-risk construction activities.
Ensure safety signage, barricades and warning notices are properly installed and maintained.
Liaise with site supervisors, subcontractors and workers to address safety concerns.
Assist the SHO in conducting safety inspections, audits and safety programmes.
Follow up on corrective actions and ensure identified safety issues are rectified promptly.
Assist in emergency response activities and safety drills.
Promote safety awareness and a positive safety culture across the construction site.
Perform other safety-related duties as assigned by the SHO or project management.

Requirements:
Valid Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) competency/certification recognised by DOSH/JKKP.
Minimum 1 year of relevant construction site experience.
Strong knowledge of construction site safety practices and procedures.
Familiar with OSHA, DOSH/JKKP requirements and HIRARC.
Good understanding of construction activities, site hazards and safety control measures.
Able to conduct site inspections and identify unsafe acts and conditions.
Physically fit and comfortable working in a construction site environment.
