A. Electrical & Production Equipment Maintenance
- Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot motors, control panels, PLCs, VFDs, sensors, instrumentation, and automation systems.
- Maintain transformers, Main Switchboards, Sub-Switchboards, MCCs, and power distribution systems.
- Inspect electrical protection systems and ensure proper operation.
- Respond promptly to production breakdowns and restore equipment operation.
B. Facility & Utility Electrical Maintenance
- Maintain electrical systems for buildings, workshops, offices, warehouses, and other facilities.
- Maintain facility lighting, emergency lighting, electrical distribution, sockets, switches, and related systems.
- Support electrical systems for compressors, pumps, ventilation, cooling systems, and other utilities.
- Participate in electrical installation and improvement of new buildings, facilities, and plant infrastructure.
- Coordinate electrical contractors for facility and infrastructure projects.
C. Planning & Reliability
- Develop and improve electrical preventive maintenance programs.
- Analyze electrical failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Recommend electrical modifications to improve reliability, safety, and performance.
- Support machine safety and electrical protection improvements.
D. Projects & Engineering Improvement
- Participate in electrical installation, modification, upgrading, and commissioning.
- Review electrical drawings, specifications, and equipment requirements.
- Support new engineering and facility projects.
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers.
- Support energy-saving and electrical efficiency initiatives.
E. Spare Parts & Cost Control
- Identify critical electrical spare parts and maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Evaluate repair, reuse, or replacement options.
- Monitor electrical maintenance costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain records of spare-parts usage and replacement history.
F. Safety & Reporting
- Ensure electrical work complies with company safety procedures and applicable regulations.
- Apply proper electrical isolation and LOTO procedures.
- Participate in electrical risk assessments and safety inspections.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly electrical maintenance reports.
- Maintain electrical drawings, equipment records, maintenance history, and spare-parts records.
- Provide regular updates on critical electrical issues and improvement activities.
Requirements
- Diploma / degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant industrial or manufacturing experience.
- Experience with industrial motors, PLCs, VFDs, control panels, sensors, and power distribution systems.
- Good knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
- Able to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong commitment to electrical safety and safe working practices.
- Willing to support breakdowns, shutdowns, overtime, or on-call activities when required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in steel fabrication, downstream manufacturing, or heavy industry.
- Experience with PLC programming and industrial automation.
- Experience with VFD installation, parameter setting, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of transformers, MCCs, switchboards, protection relays, and power distribution.
- Experience with cranes, welding equipment, cutting machines, conveyors, compressors, and industrial machinery.
- Knowledge of facility electrical systems, lighting, emergency power, and building electrical services.
- Knowledge of instrumentation and control systems.
- Experience in electrical project installation and commissioning.
- Knowledge of energy management and electrical efficiency.
- Experience in contractor and supplier management.
Pay: RM1,737.79 - RM6,000.00 per month
