Job Summary
The Architectural Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating architectural works for a hospital construction project. The role ensures all architectural and finishing works are completed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise architectural and finishing works, including walls, ceilings, flooring, doors, windows, waterproofing and built-in fittings.
- Monitor works in hospital areas such as operating theatres, wards, laboratories, clinics, pharmacies and specialist rooms.
- Coordinate architectural works with structural, M&E, medical-gas and specialist hospital systems.
- Ensure site works comply with approved drawings, method statements, material specifications and relevant authority requirements.
- Review shop drawings, material submissions, samples and mock-ups before construction.
- Identify drawing discrepancies and resolve technical or coordination issues with consultants and subcontractors.
- Conduct daily site inspections and monitor workmanship, progress and safety compliance.
- Coordinate subcontractors, trades and site workers to minimise clashes, delays and rework.
- Raise inspection requests and ensure defects or non-conforming works are rectified promptly.
- Monitor project progress against the construction schedule and report potential delays.
- Maintain site records, progress reports, inspection documentation and defect lists.
- Assist with testing, commissioning, handover and preparation of as-built documentation.
- Attend site, technical and coordination meetings when required.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Building Technology or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience supervising architectural works.
- Experience in hospital or healthcare construction projects is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of architectural finishes, detailing and construction methods.
- Able to interpret architectural, structural and M&E drawings.
- Familiar with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and project documentation.
- Good leadership, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to work under tight project deadlines.
- Willing to be based at the project site.
Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
