Summary
The Process Engineer will support the design, installation, commissioning, and optimization of a new plant. The role will work closely with internal stakeholders, contractors, equipment suppliers, and technical experts to ensure the successful implementation of plant processes, equipment, and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning, design, installation, and commissioning of the new scheduled waste plant.
- Coordinate with technical teams, equipment suppliers, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review engineering drawings, P&IDs, process flow diagrams, layouts, and technical specifications.
- Monitor project progress to ensure works are completed according to schedule, quality, and safety requirements.
- Assist with equipment testing, troubleshooting, performance validation, and plant start-up activities.
- Develop and optimize plant operating procedures, work instructions, and process documentation.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance plant efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, DOE requirements, and company HSE standards.
- Work closely with Operations and Maintenance teams to ensure a smooth handover after commissioning.
- Prepare project reports, technical documentation, and engineering recommendations for management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3–5 years of engineering experience in manufacturing, chemical, refinery, waste management, oil & gas, or industrial processing plants.
- Experience in plant setup, commissioning, project engineering, or process improvement is highly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of industrial utilities, process equipment, pumps, motors, piping systems, and control systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel and work at project sites during plant construction and commissioning.
Work Location : Demak Laut, Kuching.
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
