Test Driver | Automotive / Vehicle Testing

Location: Seelong, Senai, Johor

We are looking for a Test Driver to join our team and support the testing of newly assembled vans.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct visual, functional and road tests on newly assembled vans.
• Check vehicle functions including steering, braking, transmission, suspension, lights, air-conditioning, doors, dashboard indicators and safety equipment.
• Identify and report abnormal sounds, vibrations, braking/steering issues, leakage and other vehicle defects.
• Record test results, mileage, defects and vehicle status accurately.
• Arrange and move vehicles according to their testing, rectification, inspection and delivery status.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality Control and Technical teams for rectification and re-testing.
• Ensure vehicles are parked and labelled according to their current status.
• Follow all vehicle safety procedures, traffic rules and designated test routes.

Requirements

• Possess a valid driving licence applicable to the vehicle category.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle systems, mechanical components and automotive defects.
• Able to identify abnormal sounds, vibrations, steering and braking issues.
• Able to complete inspection checklists and describe defects clearly.
• Willing to work shifts, overtime and outdoors when required.
• Responsible, observant, disciplined and safety-conscious.
• Able to communicate and work effectively with Production, Quality and Technical teams.
