Responsibilities

The Opportunity

Are you a junior market research executive, business intelligence analyst, or corporate data researcher looking to move in-house?

Our client, a leading international law firm advising top-tier corporate clients, financial institutions, and global investors on complex cross-border transactions and high-stakes disputes across Asia-Pacific, is seeking a high-caliber Knowledge & Market Intelligence Analyst with 1 to 2 years of experience to join their local office. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business data and legal strategy, conducting deep-dive desk research, mapping corporate structures, and curating practice intelligence for their fee-earners across the region.

What You’ll Do

  • Execute High-Impact Market Research: Conduct rapid-turnaround desk research, competitive intelligence, and company/industry profiling to support partners, client pitches, and practice groups.
  • Corporate Structure Mapping: Utilize corporate registries (ACRA) and intelligence platforms (Mergermarket, Handshakes, Capital IQ) to track parent-subsidiary relationships, deal trends, and beneficial ownership.
  • Knowledge Curation & Management: Help organize, tag, and maintain internal deal databases, precedent libraries, and sector brief repositories for easy firm-wide access.
  • Track Legal & Sector Trends: Monitor market developments, regulatory updates, and lateral market movements across key practice areas (M&A, Energy/Infrastructure, Banking, Dispute Resolution).
  • Collaborate with Regional Teams: Work closely with international KM specialists, Business Development managers, and practicing lawyers to deliver actionable insights on tight deadlines.

Who We Are Looking For

  • 1 to 2 years of professional experience in a mid-tier market research agency, corporate intelligence firm, business information provider, or professional services firm.
  • Strong Desk Research & OSINT Fundamentals: Proven ability to navigate public registries, company databases, and open-source intelligence efficiently.
  • Synthesizer Mentality: You don't just dump raw data; you can digest complex information quickly and summarize key takeaways into clear, concise executive briefs.
  • Tech-Savvy & Detail-Oriented: Familiarity with databases like ACRA, Handshakes, Mergermarket, Capital IQ, or similar platforms is a strong plus.
  • Proactive Communicator: Comfortable liaising with stakeholders of all levels in a fast-paced, professional environment.
  • Academic Background: Degree in Business, Information Management, Law, International Relations, Economics, or a related discipline.

What the Job Offers

In-House Transition: Step into a core strategic function within a global elite law firm.

Accelerated Learning: Direct exposure to top-tier commercial deals and leading legal minds across APAC.

Competitive Package: Attractive salary, performance bonus, comprehensive medical benefits, and hybrid work flexibility.

Professional Growth: Clear career progression path within Knowledge Management, Legal Tech, or Business Development.

How to Apply

If you thrive on turning raw market data into real-time sector intelligence, deal tracking, and corporate insight and want to build a career at the intersection of business and law, we’d love to hear from you.

Please send your updated CV and a brief cover letter outlining your experience in desk/market research to ************* or apply directly via this page.
