Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Retail Warehouse Manager to oversee the daily operations of our warehouse and ensure efficient receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfilment, and distribution activities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing warehouse performance, leading the warehouse team, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring orders are processed and delivered efficiently to retail outlets and customers.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
• Ensure smooth and efficient movement of goods in and out of the warehouse.
• Develop and implement warehouse procedures, workflows, and operational standards.
• Ensure proper warehouse layout and optimal utilization of storage space.
• Monitor daily warehouse activities to ensure orders are processed accurately and on time.

Inventory Management

• Manage and maintain accurate inventory records using the company's in-house inventory management system.
• Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and physical inventory checks.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, damages, losses, and inventory variances.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with relevant departments to prevent overstocking or stock shortages.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, labeling, and identification of products.

Retail Distribution

• Coordinate the timely picking, packing, and delivery of products to retail outlets.
• Work closely with Retail, Purchasing, Sales, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth replenishment.
• Monitor order fulfilment performance and delivery schedules.
• Ensure urgent or priority orders are handled efficiently.

Team Management

• Lead, supervise, and develop warehouse staff, including warehouse supervisors, storekeepers, pickers, and packers.
• Plan manpower requirements and work schedules according to operational needs.
• Set performance targets and monitor team productivity.
• Conduct training and ensure employees follow warehouse procedures and safety requirements.
• Manage attendance, discipline, performance, and staff development.

Warehouse Systems & Process Improvement

• Manage and maintain accurate inventory records using the company's in-house inventory management system.
• Monitor key warehouse KPIs such as inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, picking accuracy, productivity, and stock loss.
• Identify operational issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Improve warehouse efficiency, productivity, and cost effectiveness through process optimization.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with company policies, warehouse procedures, and occupational safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment and material-handling equipment.
• Investigate and report workplace incidents, damages, and safety issues when required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Warehouse Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Mandarin Speaker
• Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial position.
• Experience in retail, FMCG, distribution, e-commerce, or high-volume warehouse operations will be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, warehouse processes, and distribution operations.
• Experience managing and leading a warehouse team.
• Manage and maintain accurate inventory records using the company's in-house inventory management system.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Hands-on, proactive, and results-oriented.

Pay: From RM5,000.00 per month
